Authorizations of the students' attorney
The Students’ Attorney protects students’ legal rights and the rights stipulated by the acts of the University and its units in case these are violated by the University bodies and its units’ bodies, as well as by all persons included in the teaching and educational process and other persons, in accordance with the Rulebook on the Election, Resolving, Competencies and Activities of the Students’ Attorney at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University – Skopje, published in University Newsletter No. 142, dated 01.09.2009.
The Students’ Attorney is authorized to:
- Mediate in disputes between students and professors, students and the University units, students and the University administration;
- Give recommendations in specific cases with the purpose of settlement of disputes;
- Take activities for which they are competent and at their own discretion. If the Students’ Attorney should initiate a procedure at their initiative, they need the consent from the student whose rights have been violated;
- Pose for public discussion matters related to the students’ rights protection system and to promote the conclusions from such matters in order to improve the quality of higher education and students’ rights protection;
